There are two middle schools
(Taft and Taylor), and one elementary school (Los Ranchos Elementary)
in the Village.

Los Poblanos Field
Rio Grande Community Farms is a
nonprofit organization farming two parcels of City Open Space land to
benefit wildlife and people in an urban farm setting. The farm at Los
Poblanos Field (formerly Anderson Field near Montano), is 140 acres
and includes a mix of wildlife crops, alfalfa, corn, and mixed
vegetables. A school garden is located at the northern edge of the
field and a community garden is located on the southern end
